The Listening Room with Hampstead Jazz Club present -A JAZZY CHRISTMAS – Jo Harrop, Paul Edis Ensemble with special guests. Featuring new arrangements of festive favourites penned by ‘brilliant young pianist’ Paul Edis and performed by the ‘velvet-voiced’ Jo Harrop alongside a 9-piece band featuring: Emma Rawicz (alto sax/clarinet), Paul Booth (tenor/soprano sax) Ryan Quigley (trumpet), Rory Ingham (trombone), Gareth Lockrane (flute/piccolo) Dominic Ingham (violin) Paul Edis (piano/arrangements), Mátyás Hofecker (bass), Matt Home (drums) You can expect to hear classic Christmas hits such as ‘Santa Baby’ given a big band treatment rubbing shoulders with more contemporary hits like ‘Driving Home For Christmas’ as a Brazilian samba. You don’t have to be a jazz fan to like this show, but if you are, you’ll be blown away by the standard of musicianship from some of the leading lights on the UK jazz scene.
