Everybody knows that the curriculum that is documented and quality assured in HE, what we teach and what students learn are not the something. On the one hand, constructive alignment in HE marks a shift from teacher-centred practice to student-centred learning. On the other hand, there is the hidden curriculum. In both the student is the target of change and the critical interpersonal relationship between the educator and the student is sidelined. This session will present case studies that explore the context of the hidden curriculum and how this is entangled with student-centred learning and the relationships between educator and student.
