Join Griffi and Rosie, curators of We Gather, for this afternoon workshop on International Women's Day.

“Making and creating in my own home for the people I love gives me a feeling of joy and excitement but also a place of solace.” - Patsy Moore.To celebrate International Women’s Day, this workshop invites participants to discuss the themes and questions surrounding the current exhibition on display at the Crafts Council Gallery, We Gather. In this workshop, participants will take part in a creative activity to share personal and collective memories and discuss how craft impacts our everyday lives in domestic spaces. The session will be inspired by objects, materials and items often found in the home that evoke memories of making and the people that made them. Participants are invited to share stories and bring a personal object to the workshop, such as: a knitted blanket, a recipe, a crochet doily, a handmade object or heirloom.** Please note this event is exclusively for women or those who identify as female.
