The Rewild Project is a community interest company (CIC) that seeks to connect people with nature. We target marginalised and disadvantaged groups to help them reach their full potential. We also run a range of projects in local communities, schools, woodlands and at festivals. Although this is a hive of activity, we also do outreach work across Gloucestershire.

The Rewild Project

A delightful beginners spring herbalism workshop including a talk, walk and forage, followed by  tincture/ointment making. Lunch provided.

Noxon Farm

This spring, we are hosting a series of workshops designed to lift your spirits and skills! The Rewild Project CIC is a non-profit, so all fees from workshop ticket sales go directly back into the organisation to help fund the amazing work we do! We have a limited number of subsidised tickets available for those on low income, so please be mindful of this when selecting your ticket price. And if you would like to give more, you can give a donation on the day. Workshops are aimed at adults, 18+ but we can make exceptions on a case by case basis. Join us for a unique herbalism experience with Jess. This workshop will cover:<ul><li>Identification of seasonal edible plants and their uses</li><li>Identification of seasonal medicinal plants and their uses</li><li>Identification of seasonal craft plants and their uses</li><li>Collection of edible foods for a salad </li><li>Making of a tincture or ointment to take home. As weather has been unpredictable, this will depend on what&#x27;s out at that time. </li><li>Guided instruction and advice for all participants</li></ul>We will provide:<ul><li>Relaxed and fun instruction</li><li>All tools and materials</li><li>A covered area incase of rain</li><li>A fire to keep warm</li><li>Refreshments &amp; lunch including a warm homemade local organic bowl of soup &amp; roll </li></ul>What to bring:<ul><li>A basket for collecting foraged finds</li><li>A clean jar with a lid (ideally sterilised) to take your tincture/ointment home with you</li><li>Warm clothing and sturdy shoes</li></ul>

About Jess:Jess first became interested in herbal medicine whilst studying massage therapy at Reading college some 26 years ago.After completing a 3 year IHBC college diploma in beauty therapy, which included a Swedish massage qualification and aromatherapy, she went on to study herbal medicine.She studied with the IRCH (International Register of Consultant Herbalists) for over six years before receiving their diploma in Botano-therapy. The course was in-depth, covering, Anatomy &amp; Physiology, Naturopathy, Health Psychology, Materia Medica and Herbal Medicine.As a practitioner of Herbal Medicine, she operates to a strict code of ethics and professional behaviour.
