Experience a traditional afternoon tea with a twist

Seventeen Nineteen - Holy Trinity Church

In 1887 the fishwives of the East End celebrated the jubilee with perculiar flare. Tea parties traidtionally have tea, cakes, music and sparkling conversation. The fishwive's set their tea party up on the Town Moor and made sure it was a day to remember. Instead of brightly coloured flags flying fromt the bunting- decorations included bunting made of crabs, herrings and other fish! This tea party will feature live sea shanties, decorations made from less fishy materials and take the opportunity to dress as fishermen and fish wives to celebrat the jubilee and show you #LoveSunderlandHeritageAfternoon tea and kids packed lunches available.
