It’s no longer gardening as usual and this session will demonstrate how by working more closely with the natural world one can build greater resilience for person, plate and planet overall. Or how to be Climate Change Savvy.With a nod to the pre Victorian peasant gardens of yore, Kim will explain how to grow fruit and vegetables productively in the face of increasing extremes of weather. This will include working with perennials, creating biodiversity and why we should. Also we&#x27;ll cover soil protection, watering during the summer, seed saving, no dig, low cost growing with make, mend and do, and much more besides. Meet Kim StoddartA popular gardening journalist, editor, trainer and vibrant, accessible speaker, Kim has been writing for publications such as the Guardian and running resilient growing courses since 2013. 
She has gardening columns in magazines including Grow Your Own and Country Smallholding magazines and edits The Organic Way for Garden Organic. Kim is also the author of The Climate Change Garden book. Kim is keen to show how wildlife friendly, organic grow your own can help build resilience against the greater extremes of weather caused by climate change.
