From global poverty to climate change to the refugee crisis it can be easy to feel helpless but lets start the conversation in Cannock and push for positive change.In this event we will talk about international aid and community activism as well as how we can tackle the persecution of LGBTQ+ people across the world and human rights abuses in the Middle East. We will have plenty of time for discussion as we want to hear from you! But don&#x27;t worry if you don&#x27;t have any previous knowledge on the topics, all with an open mind are welcome.Speaking on these issues we have:Emily Aitchison - Organiser for the Aid AllianceKathryn Downs - Chair of Chase Pride and Hednesford MayorMahnaz Shariat - Human rights activistThis will take place at Cannock Libary, in the meeting room upstairs.This event is hosted by Cannock Chase Cares- a campaign group aiming to raise awareness of global injustice, supported by organisations such as Save the Children, Oxfam, Unicef UK, VSO, the British Red Cross and more.If you have questions feel free to message our Cannock Chase Cares Facebook page.This event is FREE.
