She is interested in the role and potential of the artist within urban regeneration. Working with moving image, text and installation to explore possible taxonomies of everyday life. What does it mean to visit a home similar to yours in an entirely different part of London? How does geographical location, local economy and changes to tenancy impact how these similar built spaces might look and feel?Lunch and refreshments will be provided.Free but booking is essential.---“Field Trip (noun)A field trip or excursion is a journey by a group of people to a place away from their usual environment.”A series of Field Trips in response to the themes of Living Together, Becontree and its centenary. Both Field Trips are free to attend, but places are limited. Booking is essential via Eventbrite. It will look at the past 100 years of social housing through the lens of Becontree, once the largest social housing estate in the world; looking at the past, the present and into the future. Delivered in partnership with London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.
