About this event

On the last Saturday of April, people worldwide are invited to join together in Tai Chi and Qigong workshops and exhibitions. To date these have taken place in over seventy different nations. This educational event brings people together across ethnic, racial, religious and geopolitical borders in a celebration of personal and global health and healing. The motto of this day is "One World ... One Breath".

A Harvard Health Publication has called Tai Chi "moving meditation". Tai Chi and Qigong have been proven to help with health and wellbeing.

A number of accredited instructors in Yorkshire have decided to arrange an event and invite their students to celebrate World Tai Chi and Qigong Day together. They bring a depth and variety of experience and include Betty Sutherland of UK Tai Chi (Goole), Jennifer Fitzgerald of Dales Taiji (Leyburn), Paul Underhill of Gateway Tai Chi (Settle), and Richard Siwiak of Metta Tai Chi (York).

This workshop is suitable for people who have some experience of tai chi and qigong.

Places are limited so early booking is recommended.
