Roots of Forest is a mini festival at No. 2 Royal Avenue that encourages you to share ideas for an alternative city centre for Belfast. Be inspired through nature to imagine possible futures for Belfast, full of flora, fauna and new ways of doing things.

<p></p><h3><em>Roots of Forest is kicking off! Join us for our first night of culture in 2 Royal Avenue this Thursday 3rd March at 5pm. ‘Feral Forest’ will be an evening of nature-inspired art and music which helps us imagine how our city centre could be transformed by becoming a more inviting place for animals, insects and plants, as well as people.</em></h3><p>‘Feral Forest’ will present two unique and creative responses to city wildlife. Wildlife photographer Joshua Clarke will share his photographic work with us, showcasing the amazing biodiversity living on our doorsteps through an urban and invasion ecology lens. Meanwhile, Belfast-based musician Chip Bailey will lead the audience in creating a unique nature-focused soundscape with live instruments in the space.</p><h3>Put down some roots on Royal Avenue! </h3><p>Chip Bailey is the regular drummer/percussionist with Duke Special and has toured extensively around the world. He has over 20 years experience facilitating music sessions and is known for hilarious and uplifting interactive workshops.</p><p></p><p>Joshua Clarke is a PhD candidate in invasion ecology, developing a passion for wildlife growing up in Belfast. With photography, Joshua seeks to record and share local biodiversity, highlighting accessibility to nature and conservation challenges</p>
