Let us know how we can improve Paignton and Preston seafronts and protect the surrounding areas from flooding in the future.

Torbay Council have been looking at improving the sea defences at Paignton and Preston seafront. Following our previous engagement on this we listened to those who took part and have now extended our plans. We are now looking at improving more of the open spaces and areas that surround both seafronts, ensuring the right sea defences are in place to protect Paignton and Preston into the future.LDA Design, a Devon-based design consultancy, have been commissioned by Torbay Council to lead an open and collaborative public engagement on the new seafront masterplan. Together, we want to protect and enhance the precious open spaces along the seafront, and create a happy, healthy, and vibrant place that celebrates the special qualities of the areas.There will be three phases to this engagement and this is the first phase. We want to hear from everyone - young, old, families, visitors and everyone in between, who use or visit either or both Paignton and Preston seafronts. We do though particularly want to hear from young people and those residents and businesses whose properties are impacted when the areas behind the seafronts are flooded by the sea. At this workshop we have a number of questions to ask you on how you experience the seafront so we can work together to develop a once in a lifetime plans to enhance the seafront and protect the town. The workshop will be taking place online and will last no more than two hours.Please register to attend. Once registered you will be sent the log in details for the online workshop
