Resonate 2022 Festival

Over 70 individual events, drop-in activities, games and experiences - something for all the family to enjoy during the April school break.

Resonate 2022 is a three-day extravaganza on the University of Warwick campus between 19-21 April.

An entertaining and virtuosic show spanning centuries of musical traditions, acclaimed musicians Barnaby Brown and Stef Conner transport audiences back to the Roman-era and early-modern Coventry. 

What kind of melodies could be heard in Roman Britain? 

What instruments were popular in the Graeco-Roman world, and how did they really sound? 

How did song and music change with the advent of Christianity? 

With a repertoire that includes ancient hymns, uncanny curse tablets and the mystery Coventry Carol, Barnaby and Stef offer an incredible first-hand experience of ancient music. The event combines concert performances of ancient pieces with an interactive session with the audience invited to sing along with ancient Roman and Coventry melodies.
