Over 70 individual events, drop-in activities, games and experiences - something for all the family to enjoy during the April school break.

Resonate 2022 is a three-day extravaganza on the University of Warwick campus between 19-21 April.

As a part of Resonate Festival, we could not resist exploring what Resonance means…


When does it happen? How do we use it?

Join us for a lecture-style workshop with elements of electronic music performance, audience participation and physics demonstrations. 

Resonance is an underlying phenomenon in everything relating to sound, hearing and music, from string vibration to concert hall acoustics and in what makes each human voice unique. 

Earthquakes, music halls, brain scans – all have something in common – and yes, you have guessed – it is resonance. Resonance is fundamental in Physics, underpinning the very existence of the Universe and every particle in it. It also shapes the world around us and is used broadly in technology – from lasers to bridge building and the already mentioned brain scans. 



Free to attend but registration required (age 8+)
