Family Art Fun Day - Cultivate CREATE!

Founded in 2013, Turf Projects is the first entirely artist-run contemporary art space in Croydon, South London.Established by creatives with a personal connection to the borough, Turf now comprises; a gallery space exhibiting work from emerging and established artists; an artists workspace and events space; and a small studio provision for artists and makers.We endeavor to create free, high quality exhibitions and events for Croydon both at our workshop & gallery space in the Whitgift Centre and out in the Croydon community.

Sat 19th March 11:30-1:30pm, Free &amp; open to allIt’s a make-along!Come and have a peek in our gallery! 5 artists have joined together to create new and exciting things to share with people in Croydon. They have ONLY just started! Would you like to join in too?Make some exciting art to take home, exploring some ideas the artists are thinking about to share, including home, green spaces and connection. You can then show other people too! We will be making terrariums and moon sand Croydon sculptures!This free workshop is for children and their families to explore together. Inspired by Cultivate That, our current work-in-progress project, we are coming together as artists to grow new ideas that can be shared and replanted; the beginning of something new while we have lots of fun at the same time.This workshop is most suitable for ages 5-11, but all are welcome to come and have a go!NOTE // We are now running the same Family Fun Day workshop twice per exhibition. Please only book one of these dates, to allow as many families as possible to get involved!HOW DO OUR TICKETS WORK?For our workshops &amp; events we offer the majority of tickets free and then offer donations-based tickets after that. Free tickets go fast! We’d encourage you to book a donations-based ticket if you’re able to, to leave as many free tickets as possible available for those who could most benefit from them. Donations tickets can be as little as £1.THINGS TO NOTE:Please turn up at the start time of the session and let us know if you can’t make it so a ticket can go to another family!Family Art Fun Days have just started to be held indoors, we work with lots of vulnerable people and in order to keep everyone safe we ask that if you book for the workshop we would really recommend anyone over the age of 11 to wear a mask unless you are exempt throughout the workshop. We also recommend using a rapid flow test before coming to the event.
