The National Museum of Computing (TNMOC) is home to the world's largest collection of working historic computers.Follow the development of computing: from the Turing-Welchman Bombe and Colossus of the 1940s through the large systems and mainframes of the 1950s, 60s and 70s, to the rise of personal computing and the rise of mobile computing and the internet.Recognised as one of England’s top 100 ‘irreplaceable places’, we welcome corporate and group visits, schools and individuals from all over the world.We are normally open Tuesday to Friday 10:30 -17:00, Saturday & Sunday 10:30 – 17:00. Teams of 3-5 will race against the clock to build and programme their MiniBots before entering their creations into the final showdown: completion of our custom obstacle course!Building Robots - Two hours are allocated to build our First-Tech minibotsMoral Machine: Ethics of Autonomous Vehicles - Complete MITs quiz to see how your morality compares to the population as a whole and discuss the challenges of ethical programming in autonomous vehiclesStarship Q&amp;A - Milton Keynes is home to the utterly adorable Starship delivery robots. We are delighted to welcome a VERY special guest and an opportunity to ask questions of the minds behind the machines.Programming Robots - 1 hour is allocated to programming your First-Tech minibot to enter the obstacle course!Obstacle Course - Minibots will enter our custom obstacle course to win the ultimate prize…. The capacity for this event is 50 students.</li><li>Students will need to bring a packed lunch as food is not provided on site.</li><li>The content of our Autonomous Vehicle Day is targeted towards students aged between 16-18 years (Secondary School Years 12 - 13). </li><li>Whilst this event is free, schools must give 2 months notice if they will not be attending; this will enable their places to be offered to another school on the Waiting List.
