Mae'n sesiwn anffurfiol, lle rydym yn croesawu trafodaeth ac mae pawb yn cefnogi ein gilydd.

Mae wedi bod yn gyfnod eithriadol o anodd i'n sector dros y ddwy flynedd ddiwethaf, ond rydym o'r diwedd yn gweld y golau ar ddiwedd y twnnel ac mae'r digwyddiad hwn yn ymwneud â'n dathlu'n dod drwy'r ochr arall ac edrych i'r dyfodol!

Bydd ein digwyddiad cyntaf ers y pandemig yn gweld ein cyflwynydd teledu a radio, Mariclare Carey-Jones yn cyflwyno ein siaradwyr:
•	Yr Athro Dylan Jones-Evans – Dirprwy Is-Ganghellor Cynorthwyol ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru sy'n gyfrifol am Fenter. Yn ogystal â rhestr hir o wobrau trawiadol, Dylan yw sylfaenydd Gwobrau Hanner Cant Twf Cyflym Cymru, Gwobrau Cyfreithiol Cymru a Gwobrau Cychwyn Busnes Cymru. Yn ddiweddar, mae wedi cymryd y Gwobrau Cychwyn Busnes Cenedlaethol ac wedi sefydlu'r prosiect Gwobrau hwn ledled y DU gydag 8 digwyddiad rhanbarthol gwahanol. Bydd yn sgwrsio â ni am y ffordd y mae wedi graddio'r prosiect hwn, yn trafod rhai o'i adegau gorau, yn ogystal â rhai o'r peryglon y bu'n rhaid iddo eu goresgyn, tra'n bod yn aelod gweithgar o'r diwydiant digwyddiadau.
•	Kate O'Neill – Cyfarwyddwr Kate O'Neill Coaching. Mae Kate yn ymarferydd DISC achrededig (system proffilio ymddygiadol) gyda dros 9 mlynedd o brofiad yn y diwydiant recriwtio. Sefydlodd ei hymgynghoriad i bartner gydag asiantaethau recriwtio a gweithwyr proffesiynol i helpu i ddatgloi eu potensial drwy hyfforddiant a chymorth hyfforddi. Mae Kate yn deall bod pawb yn profi prinder enfawr o ymgeiswyr ar hyn o bryd ac mae'n ymwybodol o'r prinder staff digwyddiadau profiadol, a adawodd y diwydiant yn ystod y pandemig ac nad ydynt wedi dychwelyd. Bydd hi'n trafod sut i fod yn ddyfeisgar, gan feddwl ble mae eich 'marchnad darged' a ffyrdd o'u denu yn ôl i'r gwaith i chi!

Welcome back to The Event Organisers Wales networking group!

DATE: Thursday 31 March 2022
TIME: 2pm – 4pm
LOCATION: University of South Wales, Treforest Campus
, Conference Centre
, Llantwit Road, Pontypridd
, CF37 1DL

This event brings together people from across South Wales who are involved in running meetings and events, as well as organisations that support the industry. Each month we host a couple of speakers, as well as panel discussion and networking over nibbles. It’s an informal session, where we welcome discussion and all support each other.

It’s been an extremely difficult time for our sector over the last two years, but we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and this event is about celebrating us coming through the other side and looking to the future!

Our first event since the pandemic will see our host, TV and radio presenter, Mariclare Carey-Jones introduce our speakers:

•	Professor Dylan Jones-Evans – Assistant Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of South Wales with responsibility for Enterprise. As well as a long list of impressive accolades, Dylan is the founder of the Wales Fast Growth Fifty Awards, The Wales Legal Awards and the Wales Start-Up Awards. He has recently taken the Start-Up Awards National and set this Awards project up across the UK with 8 different regional events. He will chat to us about how he has scaled this project, talk through some of his finest moments, as well as some of the pitfalls he’s had to overcome, while being an active member of the event industry.
•	Kate O’Neill – Director of Kate O’Neill Coaching. Kate is an accredited DISC practitioner (behavioural profiling system) with over 9 years experience in the recruitment industry. She set up her consultancy to partner with recruitment agencies and professionals to help unlock their potential via training and coaching support. Kate understands that everyone is experiencing a massive candidate shortage at the moment and is aware of the shortage of experienced events staff, who left the industry during the pandemic and who have not returned. She will be discussing how to be inventive, thinking about where your 'target market' are and ways to attract them back to work for you!

Following their presentations, the speakers will join a panel discussion with our Networking group’s organiser – Katrina Cinus – to answer any questions and spark up a discussion on future topics to cover.

Please register your place and come along at 2pm on Thurs 31 March to hear from these impressive speakers as well as to meet your fellow event industry counterparts. If you cannot attend, please cancel your Eventbrite ticket, so another member can attend instead, as places are limited.

We look forward to welcoming you! Also please share this invitation with your industry colleagues as everyone is welcome.
