3. Using and Sharing Chronologies (3 hours)

This specialist course looks at both single and multi-agency chronologies in detail; their purpose, construction and their use in working with children, young people and families. It is assumed that participants will already have a basic understanding of Jersey’s Children First principles and processes from the Jersey’s Children First Essentials course.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  1. explain when to start a chronology
  2. identify what information needs to be included in a chronology
  3. identify what information is appropriate to share across agencies
  4. assess the impact of the patterns/information in a chronology in conjunction with a child’s assessment to improve a child’s circumstances
