The Brighton and Hove Online Apprenticeship and Traineeship Graduation Ceremony will celebrate apprentices of all ages, all levels and all sectors.If you live or work in Brighton and Hove and are completing your apprenticeship or Traineeship between 1 June 2021 - 31 May 2022 you are eligible to graduate. Bring your friends, family and work colleagues along to enjoy special guests, special achievement awards, and an evening to remember.This year to acknowledge the contribution of others involved in making apprenticeships a success, we are delighted to be including five special awards: Employee Contribution to Apprenticeships, Trainer/Tutor of the Year, Outstanding Achievement on a Traineeship, Outstanding Contribution by an Apprentice to an Employer, and the Above and Beyond Award. Have you thought about submitting a nomination for an award? This is a great opportunity for those who have supported the apprenticeship journey to be recognised. You can request a nomination form when you book your event tickets.Award 1 - Outstanding Contribution by an Apprentice to an Employer This award celebrates the outstanding contribution a Brighton and Hove apprentice has made to their employer during their apprenticeship. Nominations can be made by employers only.Award 2 - Employee Contribution to Apprenticeships This award celebrates the contribution of employees who have either championed apprenticeships within their organisation or have offered exemplary support. Nominations can be made by apprentices, providers, employers and employees.Award 3 - Tutor/Trainer of the Year This award celebrates the contribution of a tutor or trainer who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to support an apprentice(s) during their apprenticeship. Nominations can be made by apprentices and employers.Award 4 - Outstanding Achievement on a Traineeship This award will recognise the achievements of a Traineeship learner, for example, reaching personal goals and progression aims. Nominations can be made by training providers and employers.Award 5 - Above and Beyond AwardThis award will recognise the exceptional determination and efforts of an apprentice in the achievement of their apprenticeship through challenging times. Nominations can be made by training providers and employers.

FAQs1. Is there a cost to attend the event?This is a free event, but places are limited so please do attend if you register.2. How can I change my registration details?You can amend or cancel your booking through Eventbrite or email bhapprenticeships@sctp.org.uk. Full details are provided on your ticket confirmation.3. Can I receive my graduation certificate if I can't attend?If you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact bhapprenticeships@sctp.org.uk.4. How many guests may I bring?Places are limited to the graduate and up to seven guests (we will increase this if numbers allow) your training provider will be automatically invited, but guests can include your employer, tutor/trainer, friends or family. Please register them as guests on the registration site or ask them to register directly.5 . Do I qualify to graduate?All apprentices who complete their apprenticeship from 1 June 2021 to 31 May 2022, and who live or work in Brighton and Hove, are eligible to register. 6. I completed a Traineeship - how will I be involved in the event?Trainees who completed between 1 June 2021 and 31 May 2022 are warmly invited to attend and will receive a special commendation at the event.Privacy Notice (Legitimate interest)

As a data controller we have a responsibility to make sure you know why and how your personal information is being collected in accordance with relevant data protection law.

Why we are processing your data
We are collecting your data for the purpose of administering the Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony. The information you provide will be used to process your booking. We will also use it to contact you regarding your booking, and where relevant, send graduation certificates/souvenirs. We may also contact you to undertake post-event evaluation.

We have lawful bases for collection and use of this data under both Task in the Public Interest and Legitimate Interest. The legitimate interest in question is the promotion of the value of apprenticeships to the residents of Brighton and Hove. Your data may be shared with your training provider/college to confirm your registration and completion of your apprenticeship. We will hold your data for 6 months after the event.
