Join the LNER Wellness Train ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week to learn more about how to get the most mindful experience out of travelling. The LNER Wellness Train will provide customers travelling between London King’s Cross and Lincoln with a unique experience to engage in some of the most mindful activities you can do from the comfort of your own seat onboard the LNER Azuma service. Research shows 53% of people enjoy travelling by train because it provides them with an opportunity to unwind and relax, so to celebrate this LNER is offering an exclusive train service dedicated to supporting mindful and wellbeing activities onboard. Customers onboard the 08:06 London King’s Cross to Lincoln service on Saturday 7th May 2022 will be able to enjoy one of the following activities: <ul><li>Relaxation - take time to unwind with Anna Richardson</li><li>Knit a pair of hand warmers with Wool Winders </li><li>Macrame wall hanging creation with Restoration LDN </li><li>Adult doodling for mindfulness </li><li>Mindfulness and Meditation – unwind with The Now Project </li><li>Games and Puzzles – switch off for fun challenges onboard </li><li>Art session - create a collective group piece with Inkquisitive</li><li>Fitness and Wellbeing Q&amp;A with mind coach James Middleton </li><li>Origami – the art of paper folding with Origami Party London </li></ul>Those joining the LNER Wellness Train Experience will receive a hand-picked goody bag as part of the journey. Anna Richardson, a qualified cognitive behaviour therapist and hypnotherapist, will host a carriage of customers onboard the LNER service with a bespoke session on relaxation and hypnotherapy and how to use travel time to get a dose of wellness in around a busy lifestyle.Customers will also be able to board at Peterborough for a select number of the activities. Customers will be sent their boarding ticket and seat reservation in advance of the event. Tickets are for a day return to Lincoln, with the wellbeing activities taking place on the outbound journey. Customers will join the 15:24 LNER service for their return journey and are encouraged to book a seat reservation to travel in comfort. Spaces are limited and customers are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. We have facilities on our trains for wheelchair users who will be able to fully partake in the event of their choice. Please let us know as part of your booking if you are a wheelchair user and need a wheelchair space and we will book this for you. You can equally let us know if there are any other reasonable adjustments that we can make to make sure the event is inclusive to you.If you need Passenger Assist for help getting on and off the train, please book this separately up to 2 hours before the departure of the train. If you are not able to book, no problem, just let our staff know when you arrive and aim to arrive 30 minutes before the departure of the train to give us time to assist you.
