Wild Rooted is a soul-led company with the intention of spreading the power, gifts and guidance that the natural world has for us to heal, grow, whole ourselves into a more true, interconnected and authentic life, whilst having a reciprocal relationship with the land and earth and giving it the thoughtful guardianship and respect it deserves and also needs to heal.For the past 17 years I have had the privilege to teach and guide firstly some of the most amazing young sports and public service students, whilst teaching outdoor education/ethics in sport/sports coaching/equality and diversity/outdoor leadership and running an outdoor adventure academy.I then went on to use the positive power of  the outdoors and nature with learners with special educational needs, young people with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties and as a lecturer in personal development.I conducted 3 years worth of research, which further evidenced and confirmed the massive positive impact that being in nature and outdoor interventions has on the mental health, wellbeing, educational engagement and attainment of 16-25 year olds, especially young men and young people with diagnosed SEMH or ADHD diagnosis, trait or need.After a year long training programme in 2018/2019 in nature-based practices and eco-psychology with the Natural Academy, I decided to further align myself with my true nature, gifts, authenticity and whole-ing journey and whilst going through a transitional period both personally and vocationally, I founded Wild Rooted.
