St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity

An interactive discussion on effective multi-agency working approaches & overcoming barriers across voluntary and statutory sector agencies.

The pandemic has highlighted the importance of agencies working in partnership to provide effective services for people experiencing homelessness. This session will focus on some examples of where Frontline Services are building on essential relationships with DWP, Jobcentre and Adult Social Care, through Homelessness Forums and Frontline Networks.We will be hearing from Zoë Titchener from the Coventry Frontline Network and Donna Willson from Blackpool, Wyre &amp; Fylde Frontline Network about how they are working closely with statutory sector agencies in their area. As a result of closer links and specific points of contact, frontline workers have been able to flag issues directly to decision-makers and the DWP, resulting in issues being addressed quicker and barriers to good working relationships have been reduced. These Networks have also been able to influence policy making at a local level - for example Severe Weather Emergency Protocols and submitting evidence on the impact of the removal of the Universal Credit Uplift.Please note that to attend this event you will need a work email address or, if you do not have one, an address for your supervisor. The event will be held on Zoom and a link will be emailed to you.
