Blueprint for All

A showcase of original artwork, photography and poetry celebrating how communities of diverse ethnic heritage have shaped cities in England

House of Annetta

Join Blueprint for All at the House of Annetta to celebrate and acknowledge how communities of diverse heritage around England have contributed to placemaking, the built environment and the cities we see today. Our exhibition Connecting People and Places will showcase original artwork, photography and poetry from local creatives of colour, as well as independent research from young people into some of the most iconic buildings in the area. On Thursday 19th May, take part in an evening of celebration. We will welcome speakers from the School of Architecture and Cities and Livesey Exchange to discuss the impact that communities of diverse ethnic heritage have had in London, and hear from poets and community members.

The Connecting People and Places project is designed to increase recognition of how migrant and communities of diverse ethnic heritage have influenced heritage across England. This project focuses on six regions across England:<ul><li>North-West</li><li>Midlands</li><li>South-West</li><li>North-East and Yorkshire</li><li>East</li><li>London &amp; South-East</li></ul>It is contributing to Historic England’s work to enrich understanding of the buildings and places that are important to our national history, as well as to the National Lottery’s Heritage Fund which is committed to supporting heritage projects since 1994.We at Blueprint for All believe in a future where talent is respected and nurtured irrespective of where it comes from, where organisations recognise and realise the benefits of a diverse workforce and where our communities can come together and thrive.<a href="https://www.blueprintforall.org/connecting-people-and-places-exhibition/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">blueprintforall.org</a>
