A Created Life Podcast was launched this year by local Singer-Songwriter/Mentor/Motivational Coach Amanda St John. The podcast aims to inspire, motivate and educate people in the creative industries to build their own confidence, self esteem and mental resilience so that they can overcome challenges to create a successful and fulfilled life on their own terms.



In this live recording Amanda will lead a panel discussion with a couple of other local musicians about the impact and pressures of mental health for creatives, give examples of her own struggle with anxiety and burn out, give tips on how to mange your own inner critic, answer questions from the audience as well as chatting to Help Musicians about Music Minds Matter, the charity’s dedicated 24/7 mental health support line and service for the whole UK music community.

 

Help Musicians is a charity that loves music and for 100 years has been working hard to make a meaningful difference to the lives of musicians across the UK. We want to create a world where musicians thrive. A musicians’ life can be precarious with ups and downs throughout a career. Opportunities must be hard-won, whilst challenges come along all too easily, with unsteady income and physical and mental health concerns common issues to navigate. Help Musicians offers a broad range of help to support music creators in times of crisis and opportunity - ensuring musicians across the UK can achieve their creative potential and sustain a career in music.
