ClearCommunityWeb helps people feel more confident and comfortable with technology through classes, workshops and individual support.We primarily work with older people, vulnerable adults and carers in South London. We also work with families.We partner and build relationships with organizations to help them reach their communities by providing training and expertise.

Date and time: Friday 17 June 2022 14:00 – 16:00 Location: <a href="https://goo.gl/maps/zW9hDiJjGacUKgK69" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Wellness Centre</a>, First Floor, Whitgift Centre, Croydon CR0 1LP.Our Mobile Phone Boot Camps are a fun, informal way of learning useful and practical things with your mobile phone in small groups.Are you new to using a smart phone? Were you given one over lock down or for Christmas and haven’t got to grips with it yet? Do you find that people go too fast when they are trying to show you something?We have developed a fun format where you can all learn something new, share experiences and meet friends.Best of all, you can start to feel confident with something that feels complicated and feel good about ourselves!Each session there will be a variety of activities to try depending on number of people and the activities that people want to try.Over a typical session you may get to try two or three activities and share what you have learned over a cup of tea.Practice is the key to learning and we make this fun!Please Note: You must have a smart phone, set up, charged up and with data to participate.We can offer advice or help with this and you are more than welcome to come and have a chat and see what it is all about.This event is bough to you in partnership with <a href="https://clearcommunityweb.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ClearCommunityWeb</a> and the <a href="https://cbmeforum.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Croydon BME Forum</a>

About ClearCommunityWeb<a href="https://clearcommunityweb.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ClearCommunityWeb</a> are a social enterprise, that provides borough-wide digital skills training, advice and support services to community groups, older people, vulnerable adults and carers across Croydon, Lambeth and Southwark. We understand, for many people, technology can be overwhelming. Making information as simple as possible can go a long way in giving people the confidence to overcome their fears and anxieties. Our services walk through the steps to resolve computer issues and difficulties people are having in staying connected. We work closely with community groups and non-profit organisations, providing training and direct support for remote working. Enabling support workers to have keep in contact with vulnerable service users, share digital skills within their organisation and promote digital inclusion in their network. We have become a place where people feel comfortable contacting and asking, no question is too basic, and we work together to overcome the challenges we face. As the demand of our digital one-to-one support services increase, we are working hard to expand our reach, and include everyone in our online community.
