The fifth in a course of five relaxed, interactive nature-writing workshops.

The Nature-writing HoursA programme of five relaxed, interactive Zoom workshops in which you&#x27;ll write about nature and consider different aspects of nature writing and being a nature writer. Each workshop will be timetabled more than once with identical content and ticket-holders will have exclusive access to a recording of the workshop following the event.While each workshop will be self-contained, participants who join all five workshops in the programme will have the opportunity to:<ul><li>Write about nature in a variety of formats and lengths;</li><li>Read a variety of examples of nature writing;</li><li>Establish the unique selling points of their own nature writing; </li><li>Think about the ethics of nature writing; </li><li>Pitch a nature-writing idea to a publication;</li><li>Contribute to a workshop anthology. </li></ul>All sessions will be limited to 20 people to help participants get the most out of the event. Concessionary tickets are available, so please pay what you can.Sign up to all five workshops to qualify for a 20 minute online coaching session worth £25 with me, Amanda Tuke, following the programme. Workshop five - perfecting a nature-writing pitchIn the fifth session we&#x27;ll discuss pitching nature-writing ideas as guest blogposts and draft a 200 word feature summary. After the workshop participants will be invited to submit their pitch for consideration as a guest feature on Amanda&#x27;s nature writing blog.Pre-workshop activity: Before the workshop, participants will be asked to decide on an aspect of nature they&#x27;d like to write a 300- to1000-word feature about.About the workshop leaderAmanda Tuke is a nature writer, botanist and birder based in suburban south London. She contributes regularly to Bird Watching Magazine , the London Wildlife Trust blog and has written for BBC Countryfile and Resurgence &amp; Ecologist Magazines.
