Joanna Anderson is a specialist women's abdominal therapy practitioner and complimentary health therapist . In her private practice Jo works with women offering completely unique, tailor made treatments designed to support their physical, mental, and emotional well being. One tool that Jo is passionate about using with her clients is Moon Cycle work. Jo say's... "Tuning into your cycle is a deeply empowering and nourishing gift to yourself". What is our collective and individual relationship with the moon and her cycles? What are the the historical origins of observing moon practice? How can we use the cycles of the moon to enhance our lives and help us understand ourselves and others better. How can we tune in to the natural ebb and flow that comes with the cycles of the moon each month?Take some much needed and deserved time, just for you, and join us on April 16th for a soul nourishing Full Moon Circle where Jo will be leading the group in a powerful PINK MOON sister circle. What's special about observing this Moon? Our theme for this months circle is all about connecting to a sacred, spiritual place within every woman - her womb. Don Elijio Panti, one of the last Mayan shamans, whom Jo's teacher Dr Rosita Arvigo trained with, used to say... "The uterus is the womans core, if it is out of balance, her whole life is out of balance - physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually".There will be journalling, discussion and a guided womb meditation facilitated by Jo followed by our optional cold water dip, fire, and yummy snacks.You will leave feeling relaxed, inspired, reinvigorated and connected to yourself in a new and wonderful way!Who is FUNMC for?Anyone who's been feeling like they'd like to be doing something more than just mum, wife or work duties! Bored? A bit fed up or stuck in a rut?Doing the same things week in / week out, waiting for the perfect time for things to change? NOW could be the time to try something new! To push yourself out of your little comfort bubble that's keeping you on the sofa every Friday night pouring that extra glass of red wine, or eating that extra bar of galaxy chocolate (no judgement tho! both are entirely acceptable forms of entertainment and relaxation!)If you're ready to try something completely new, to feel happier, more energised and healthier whilst meeting some fabulous new ladies along the way, then let me tell you about our next Full Moon Event. We have been meeting monthly to work with the full moon since our first meet up in June 2020.Join us on the beach for a socially distanced adventure to celebrate life, fun and friendship. Use the full moon ritual as an opportunity to work with the energy of the moon to set intentions, let go of anything no longer serving you and reclaim your inner calm.You will leave feeling like you’ve accomplished something huge, as well as feeling refreshed, energised, and most importantly having made some new friends. Included:Full Moon Workbook with lot's of info about the theme of the moon that month, a beautiful Full Moon Yoga Flow, Journal Prompts and Moon Practices.On the day you can expect...Full Moon Ritual. Women's Circle, Discussion, Meditation, Breathing Exercises, Full Moon Releasing Ritual etc. Each month, the practices will change and be chosen to compliment the theme of the moon. Cold water therapy (optional)Fire &amp; Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows! Bring:A journal &amp; pen if you want to participate in a Full Moon Ritual A piece of wood to add to the fireSwimming things. A camping chair to sit on, and warm clothing / cosy blanket to stay warm. We will have a lovely fire going too. Included:Introduction to swimming in cold waterPrivate changing shelterMarshmallows to toast on the fire post swimHot ChocolateChat, laughs and friendship.Introduction to Cold Water TherapyThere is no right or wrong way to approach your first time in the water. Some people prefer to enter the water very slowly, whilst others prefer to "jump right in". Do not underestimate the shock factor of cold water immersion. Approached in the wrong way, cold water can lead to hypothermia which is extremely dangerous.It's crucial to understand and tune into your own body's limits. You will know on the day what feels right for you. Tune in, listen to, and honour your body. If you feel like you've had enough after a few short mins, it's best to get out and warm up.The first time I swam in cold water, I only managed a few mins before I had to get out. To receive the health benefits of CWT (improved circulation, better sleep, increase in energy levels, and reduce inflammation the body)it's suggested that 3 mins is enough to have a positive impact.
