These events are organised by the London Region of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) which organises events primarily for the London Members of the RPS but events are open to all whether RPS Members or not and whether in London or not.

In summary, their guided walks for July and August are set out below. <h3>Sunday 3rd July - 1.00pm</h3><ul><li>Low water, High tide: An exploration of the life and times of some of the peropld associated with the sea or river who life in Brookwood Cemetary</li><li>They served the Empire - South Cemetery: Route 1 Some served the Empire better than others!</li><li>General Walk - South Cemetery. An introduction to the beauty, interesting monuments and people who chose Brookwood as their final resting place.</li></ul><h3>Sunday 7th August - 1.00pm </h3><ul><li>They served the Empire - South Cemetery; Route 2 - at home and abroad</li><li>Nurses and Doctors - Celebrate the birth of Florence Nightinging inspire by the St Thomas Hospital Plot.</li><li>Introductory Walk - North Cemetery. <h3>Details of RPS-Led event - Thursday 14th July from 11.10am</h3><h3>Meet up by the station entrance into the Cemetery.</h3>Getting there:-By train from Waterloo:- catch the 1023 from London Waterloo (to Alton) arriving Brookwood at 1106 – calling at Clapham Junction at 1030 and Surbiton at 1040. The cemetery has its own entrance from the station – opposite end of subway to main entrance. (May need to use intercom to get gate unlocked!)By car:- Parking is allowed more or less anywhere on the roads – don’t drive onto the verges as you be on an abandoned grave! The local street is the other side of the station – access through the station – and has very little to offer – I think maybe the “post office” opposite the station “sells coffee”. When I’ve been there, I’ve driven to the petrol station at the edge of “town” which has a Subway chain outlet!It really is a venue “designed” for visiting by car.
