The Student Midwife Experience Festival - 29 June

The Maternity, Midwifery Festivals are free to attend, regional professional development events for midwives, health visitors, other allied healthcare professionals wishing to update their skills and knowledge around key issues.

An online event with a large online audience creating new ways to share experiences in real time.

<h2>Working collaboratively with The Student Midwife Journal, All4Maternity, MATFLIX and the Nursing and Midwifery Council we are pleased to bring you the 3rd Student Midwife Festival on Wednesday 29 June, fully online.</h2><h3>This will be an online event, creating new ways for student midwives and midwifery education to network and share experiences in real time.</h3><h1></h1><h1><a href="https://web-eur.cvent.com/event/99e0871e-6f0c-426a-8ba2-9c63cc963301/websitePage:81c073e9-ed24-4faa-889f-365ed01dbfcc?RefId=home" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SEE THE PROGRAMME HERE</a></h1><p></p><h2>This exciting new venture will incorporate several strands:</h2><p><strong>The Student Midwife Experience Festival – </strong>covering a range of topics including working through and post-COVID; preparing to be a midwife post qualification; working in a continuity of care model; study and writing skills; sharing your final year project and keeping fit and balancing life as a student. </p><p>In addition we will have some poll feedback on what student midwives value or want modified on courses to compare with other student surveys.</p><p></p><h2>The Student Festival will be free to attend for student midwives online, in addition to the Festival on 29 June, we will offer:</h2><ul><li>A focal point for Student Midwifery Societies to exchange ideas</li><li>Student Midwifery Society Awards</li><li>A UK and International online programme connecting Europe, Middle East and Africa with engagement from some overseas universities and midwifery schools</li><li>A development programme for Student Midwifes to demonstrate leadership and innovation</li></ul><p></p><h2>How to participate:</h2><p><strong>We are keen that student midwives and academics should be able to participate in a range of ways to suit their circumstances.</strong></p><ul><li>On campus – by getting together as a group in a lecture theatre ( a viewing party) to watch the live stream, submit questions and discuss the content with tutors</li><li>Online – from their classroom, desk, sofa</li><li>On demand – catch up with all of the presentations via the festival boxset which will be sent to all participants a few days afterwards</li></ul><p> </p>
