To coincide with the Jerwood/FVU Awards 2022 we host a special 24-hour online screening of the two commissioned works.

About the Jerwood/FVU Awards 2022 The <a href="https://jerwoodarts.org/exhibitionsandevents/exhibitions/jerwood-fvu-awards-2022/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jerwood/FVU Awards 2022</a> premieres two newly commissioned moving-image works by artists Soojin Chang and Michael..For these commissions, both artists have approached ideas of kinship, creation and inclusion. Soojin Chang’s film BXBY is a radical, semi-fictional work which explores the fusion of interspecies life, and Michael.’s film cleave to the BLACK depicts through the form of a moving-image triptych, the continuing legacy of Black male experience. Visitor GuidanceContent note: BXBY contains graphic reproductive content, direct reference to terminated pregnancy and imagery of the culling and dissection of a deer.Format (online)Online visitors will receive an email featuring links to watch the Jerwood/FVU Awards films online alongside a package of essays, interviews and digital content to accompany the exhibition shortly before 6pm on Friday 27 May. The films will be available to watch online until 6pm on Saturday 28 May.Access For this event we’ll be screening a version of Soojin Chang’s BXBY which is captioned in English language.We want to make sure that our events programme is welcoming and accessible.
