A Black Mind wellbeing workshop inviting collective self reflection through visualisation, creative expression and play. Facilitated by Ezenwanyi Amarachi (Rachel Shapes), participants are invited to give names, sounds and colour to their abundant and unseen aspects using indigenous healing arts.When? Saturday 28th May 2022, 3-4.30pmWhere? Art Bypass gallery, City Road, N1 - 10-15 min walk from either Old Street or Angel tube station. It is ono direct bus routes 43, 205,214 and 394. There is (paid) street parking on Graham Street or on Wharf Road.Materials:You!Spaceholders:This space will be facilitated by Ezenwanyi Amarachi Rachel Akuwamgbe Nwokoro - London-born and Biafra-made, she is a neurodivergent, disabled &amp; queerly feminine human who reshapes wounds into wisdom. She cultivates creative healing spaces as an Arts Activist, Creative Healer &amp; Researcher, Mystic and Storyteller. She is also an award-winning published author and the Founder &amp; Creative Director of the grassroots organisation Black Mind.With support from: Aisha Josiah - Associate Producer, Anna Brindle - Access &amp; Wellbeing Manager to Rachel, Relationship Builder and We are Sweet 'Art<h3>What do I need to know?</h3>A hụrụ m gị n'anya is Igbo for 'I am seeing you and I love you'. Seeing each other and being seen by each other is important to us so, for all of our events, we kindly request that everyone in the space supports an environment where community can be seen, heard and experienced authentically. Thank your for your courage. Akuwamgbe is Igbo meaning "wealth should be universal". We have a needs-based sliding price scale at our discretion while still needing financial support to grow. If you need access aid to be able to attend our events, please let us know and we will try to accomodate you.
