This session is a jointly run grou7p riding session for club members of all abilities. Including those that are new to group riding.

<h2>We request a donation of £5.00 from all CRCC Riders for attendance at each group riding session. </h2>The payment has been setup as a donation to help benefit the Club by paying a lower transaction fee.The aim for these sessions is to improve the group riding skills within the club. Group rides are not only social, but a great way train and compare yourself to others. No matter what type of group ride you seek, participation in these rides improves your skill and opens new doors for training.As a group, you ride side by side in order to share the work. The riders at the front set the pace and take most of the wind. The riders behind are drafting. The plan is for these group rides to have an even pace to them with no surging or attacking. Surging when in the group is unwelcome as it disrupts the pace and makes it very difficult for a group to ride smoothly. Surging or attacking will often lead to a group splitting. This is certainly not the aim of this riding session.Sessions should be progressive, starting steadily allowing everyone a chance to get used to the group pace before increasing. These rides are not intended to be chain gang.Total track rider numbers for these sessions are limited to a maximum of 60 riders. CRCC is limited to 36 entries, across each of the riding groups. There are plenty of CRCC places in each group. We are also able to run two intermediate groups.If your desired group is not available then please feel free to join another group however, you will be expected to ride with and at the pace of that group (e.g. do not expect to ride at +20mph if you join the Social Group)Group Definitions:Group 1 - Advanced, riders with Velodrome, circuit or road race experience, comfortable riding at pace in a large bunch - Speed ****Group 2 - Intermediate, club riders comfortable riding through and off in a group at a reasonable pace (not a chain gang!) - Speed ***Group 2 - Intermediate, club riders comfortable riding through and off in a group at a reasonable pace (not a chain gang!) - Speed **Group 3 - Social, riders looking to gain bunch riding experience or fitness or Advanced/Intermediate riders looking for an easier ride and to help less experienced riders - Speed *
