Anti-Bullying Information Session  for Parents & Carers in Edinburgh

respectme is Scotland's Anti-Bullying Service and is funded by the Scottish Government and jointly managed by Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) and LGBT Youth Scotland. We work with all adults who have a role to play in the lives of children and young people to give them the practical skills and confidence to deal with children who are bullied and those who bully others. Join us to find out more about what you can do to support children and young people affected by bullying.

Organised by Edinburgh City Council in partnership with respectme, Scotland’s anti-bulling organisation. this session for parents and carers will help you to understand more about bullying and how to respond effectively whether it&#x27;s happening online or offline. <ul><li>Recognising bullying behaviours</li><li>Understanding the impacts of bullying on children and young people</li><li>How to provide a supportive response to children and young people affected by bullying</li><li>Practical tools and other strategies to deal with bullying</li><li>Edinburgh City Council’s Anti-Bullying policy and Supplementary Guidance on tackling racist incidents</li><li>Signposting to further support</li><li>Q &amp; A session</li></ul>Please note that the session is a confidential, safe space and that individuals including children and young people, and individual schools must not be named during the session. The session is intended to be a general information session and parents and carers will be advised during the session how to get support if they are dealing with an incident involving bullying.
