Norfolk Record Office (NRO) collects and preserves unique archives relating to the history of Norfolk and makes them accessible to people all over the world.The events listed here are run from our base at The Archive Centre, Martineau Lane, Norwich.   Free parking is available at County Hall for Archive Centre users. Writing Home for Norwich Refugee Week

In person and online events for Norwich Refugee Week 2004.  
Find out about the 16th Strangers who came to Norwich in the 16th Century fleeing persecution.

<h3>Each activity will include information from the archives followed by a craft activity to create something you can take home with you.The sessions will run for 90 minutes.</h3><h3>Take inspiration from animals in the archives to create your very own animal mask. Use a range of materials to create feathers or fur. What will you be?</h3> £3.50 per child. Aimed at children aged 5-11 years. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are free, but need to book a spaceAll in-person events have been subject to a COVID risk assessment. If you are visiting the Norfolk Record Office we ask that you please take note of the following:•	Please consider wearing a facemask if encouraged to do so by staff (the use of facemasks will be advised for events with over 30 attendees)•	Use hand sanitizer on entering the building/room•	Do not attend an event if you have any COVID-19 symptomsIn return we will do the following:•	Provide facemasks for anyone without one (in the case of events of over 30 people)•	Clean touch points before the session starts•	Open the windows in the room to allow for good air circulationIn-person events will only run depending on the current government guidelines at the time. Please check the website in case of cancellations or amendments.There is limited parking on the Norfolk County Council campus, when you book your ticket you will be asked to provide a car registration number if travelling by car.If you are no longer able to attend, especially if you book multiple tickets, please let us know asap, so that we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
