Pride 2022: Less violence and more Pride!

Every year for the last 8 years our creative community have come together in June to celebrate Basha Uhuru. The 2020 edition of the Basha Uhuru Freedom Festival was a casualty of the pandemic.But this forced us to become tech-savvy and to evolve.The Basha Uhuru Creative Uprising is a hybrid event that will bring us back together, at Constitution Hill -through a full week of programming streamed live, showcasing, celebrating and nurturing creative talent. We will explore this talent through art, music, film, design, dance and poetry. Through the different support opportunities like masterclasses, workshops, showcases,  panels and plenaries, the Basha Uhuru Creative Uprising will challenge and inspire you to reimagine the way you create and have the potential to change the way you do business.The Creative Uprising is our response to support our creative community most affected by the current COVID-19 crisis with 6 days of inspirational workshops, enterprise support, networking, talks and other opportunities with creative innovators, business leaders, technologists and entrepreneurs.The Basha Uhuru Creative Uprising, birthed in 2020, will grow into an always on programme to support creatives  in 2021.

<h3>In commemoration of Pride Month, the Embassies of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico, in partnership with Constitution Hill, the Centre for Mexican Studies of the Autonomous University of México, and the GALA Queer Archive of the University of Witwatersrand will organize a series of panel discussions and roundtables.
</h3><h3>The event will be hybrid in format, with in person participation and speakers online from participating countries. 
</h3><h3>These discussions will be accompanied by a sideline exhibition portraying the history of Pride and LGBTIQ+ activism in different countries.</h3><h3>Join us to discuss these issues and contribute to a better world where we can celebrate equality in diversity!</h3><h3>
