Rachel Lovegrove is an internationally renowned, certified Senior Level 1 Iyengar yoga teacher with 25+ years of experience. Rachel is passionate about helping people navigate through mental and physical health issues through the application of yoga in their daily lives. She cares deeply about the discipline that she has devoted herself to and knows personally about its transformational and curative qualities.Rachel runs a full timetable of Live Online Classes - Video On Demand on her Vimeo channel - Specialist Workshops - Retreats both online and face to face - Private Tuition.Her teaching style is pragmatic, open and supportive and she is dedicated to helping people reach their full potential through the practice of yoga. Students are welcome from all backgrounds and all levels of ability or experience.

The Retreat New Forest

<p>This day retreat is aimed at regular yoga practitioners who have been taking classes for at least 6 months or more. The theme is "restorative" where we will explore the art of letting go by using supported poses and pranayama as well as exploring philosophical themes to help us reflect, quieten and calm the mind, heal the body. The morning session will consist of more active poses, but from the view point of going deeper inwards and to prepare for pranayama. </p><p>A lovingly prepared vegan lunch will be offered and then the afternoon session will consist of restorative poses and pranayama.</p><p>The day is not suitable for beginners, but for those with a regular yoga practice (experience of Iyengar Yoga desired but not essential) and knowledge of using props. </p><p>The Retreat New Forest is in the heart of this beautiful part of the UK and the venue has acres of grounds to explore and is close to wonderful beaches and walks. The food that is provided is both healthy and delicious, all plant based and gluten-free options are also available. Everything is lovingly prepared by the retreat chefs and there are also onsite therapists to provide massage treatments - accommodation is available if you wish to extend your stay into a wonderful weekend in the New Forest.</p>

<h3>Day Programme</h3><p>10am Arrivals and Welcome with a hot drink</p><p>10.30am Morning Asana - an active session but with a view of preparing to go deeper inwards</p><p>12.45pm Delicious Vegan Lunch</p><p>2.00pm Restorative Session - supported poses and pranayama (breath focus)</p><p>4.15pm Tea and treat and farewells</p>

<h3>Lunch and Snacks Included</h3><p>The food is prepared by the amazing team at the onsite Crow Spotter Café. </p><p>All food is plant-based, delicious and nutritious and gluten and sugar-free diets can be catered for. </p>

<h3>Price and Booking</h3><p><strong>£90 per person (includes VAT)</strong></p><p>Prices include all yoga sessions and use of yoga equipment if you don’t have your own, lunch, snacks and hot drinks.</p><p>Payments are non-refundable unless we have to cancel due to any travel or meeting restriction. Please take out the appropriate holiday insurance to cover you in case you need to cancel due to unforeseen reasons. If we, the organisers, have to cancel, all monies paid to us will be refunded.</p>

<h3>About Your Teacher</h3><p>Rachel Lovegrove is a Senior Level 3 Iyengar yoga teacher and mentor with over 25 years of experience. She left her job in the Music Industry in 2005 to pursue her teaching full-time.</p><p>Rachel is passionate about helping people navigate through mental and physical health issues through the application of yoga in their daily lives. She cares deeply about the discipline that she has devoted herself to and knows personally about its transformational and curative qualities. </p><p>Beginning in 1998, she trained to a high level in the UK and India with senior Iyengar yoga teachers including BKS Iyengar, Geeta Iyengar and Prashant Iyengar. She later completed the 3-year Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics course with Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics in California. Now she lives in Hampshire, UK and runs a small studio near Southampton for both online and face to face tuition, regular monthly workshops, annual retreats and mentorship programs (teacher training).</p><p>Her teaching style is pragmatic, open and supportive and she is dedicated to helping people reach their full potential through the practice of yoga. Students are welcome from all backgrounds and all levels of ability or experience.</p>
