Hope Valley Cinema - The Peanut Butter Falcon

We organise film screenings and events outdoors in the Hope Valley in the Peak District. Whilst we accept vehicles to most of our events, we always encourage people to cycle, walk or run to them. The event venues vary so always check individual details, but as a general rule we use smart audio technology to wirelessly stream the soundtrack to the films to headphones or car stereos, so we are effectively silent to any passers by or local residents. With a background stemming from the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival, Cycle To The Cinema and the Buxton Adventure Festival, we focus on adventurous and independent films.

The FilmThe Peanut Butter Falcon is an adventure story set in the world of a modern Mark Twain that begins when Zak (22), a young man with Down syndrome, runs away from the nursing home where he lives to chase his dream of becoming a professional wrestler by attending the wrestling school The Salt Water Redneck. Through circumstances beyond their control Tyler (32), a small-time outlaw on the run, becomes Zak&#x27;s unlikely coach and ally. Together they wind through deltas, elude capture, drink whisky, find God, catch fish, and convince Eleanor (28), a kind nursing home employee with a story of her own, to join them on their journeyCertificate: 12ARunning Time: 1hr 37minsThe Event DetailsThe film will start at dusk as close to 20:00 as we can. You can arrive any time from 19:00Whilst this is a Drive In event we are keen for people to come by bike to this screening; we will ensure that any that do cycle get good positions and unrestricted views. Do be prepared for bad or cold weather though, as you&#x27;ll be seating out in the open.We&#x27;re going to be using radio transmission sound technology to broadcast the soundtrack to you or your vehicle. You will be handed a sterilised audio receiver on arrival at the venue through your car window or to hand if you cycle. This can be plugged into your car stereo via an AUX cable with a 3.5mm (standard headphone socket) or can be used with regular headphones (NOT Apple lightening connector) and/or a headphone splitter to allow multiple headphones to be connected to a single unit. Alternatively it could be plugged into a portable speaker (in your vehicle).We will supply the receiver and can supply a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.
