Level 1 Bikeability is for ages 7-12 years. Level 1 uses fun activities, challenges, and games to develop basic bicycle control skills in a safe environment.What does the course cover?•	Helmet fitting•	Bike check•	Setting off, slowing down and stoppingo	Smooth stopo	Quick stop•	Looking behind while pedalling in a straight line•	Riding one-handed•	Turning in a tight space•	Using gears•	Controlling speed•	Avoiding hazards•	Riding with other cyclists What will I need?•	You will need to provide a roadworthy bicycle with two working brakes •	A helmet is not required but is recommended •	Check the weather forecast prior to the course and wear suitable clothing•	If it is a hot day then we recommend you bring a drink •	For more information on preparing for Bikeability, see here: https://bikeability.org.uk/bikeability-training/get-ready/Duration: 2 hoursLocation: Hadrian Leisure Centre, St Peters Road, Wallsend, NE28 7LQ Cost: FreeFurther info: Parents are welcome to stay during the session although this isn&#x27;t a requirement. Please note, we cannot guarantee that there will be seating available if you do decide to stay. Our holiday courses tend to be popular and places are limited so please only book one session per child. Once you have made a booking we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm arrangements.
