These are active, outdoor, sustainable events such as cycle rides and walks - for socially and environmentally minded leaders from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

NetZero Networking is a new initiative that aims to connect socially and environmentally minded leaders from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in Kent through active, outdoor, sustainable events.<h2></h2><h2>About this event</h2>This morning cycle ride will give you the opportunity to get some fresh air and exercise whilst meeting and chatting with like-minded business leaders and enjoying this lovely area of Kent. We'll be taking a leisurely ride alongside the River Stour - the route is almost entirely traffic-free and level, so it's easy riding and the ideal location for networking on a bike!You don't have to be super fit or an expert cyclist to join us.You just need a basic level of fitness and basic bike handling skills. Itinerary:10 am Meet at The Goods Shed, Introductions and Bike/Kit check11 - 11.30 am Return to The Goods Shed. Depart or stay for a coffee. Refreshments will be available to order (at an additional cost).What you will need:<ul><li>A roadworthy bike - any type</li></ul><ul><li>A cycling helmet (Recommended - not compulsory)</li></ul><ul><li>We recommend wearing close-fitting, comfortable clothes suitable for the weather (check the forecast before leaving home). Eye protection, gloves and sensible footwear are also recommended.</li></ul><ul><li>Please also bring a drink, snack and spares for your bike e.g. inner tube, patches.</li></ul>Distance – 7 miles. We'll be riding at a gentle pace so that everyone can keep up - we won't leave anyone behind.Parking – There is a range of car parking options nearby. However, please travel as sustainably as you can. Canterbury West train station is adjacent to The Goods Shed - less than 1-minute on foot or on a bike.C﻿ontact details: rachael@carleycoaching.com 07813 985780Event Organiser &amp; Ride Leader: Rachael Carley is Director of Carley Coaching Ltd and is a Certified Coach, NLP Practitioner, Ride Leader and outdoor professional with a background in personal and professional development training, business and the not-for-profit sector. Her work focuses on helping leaders develop themselves and their businesses, so they can have a greater social and environmental impact. This is achieved through the delivery of coaching and adventure programmes, and networking events for like-minded people.Ride Leader: Miranda Palmer is Active Travel Interventions Team Leader at Kent County Council. Miranda is a Ride Leader with a background in the Agricultural and Equestrian industry, Sports Development, Education and Transport Planning. She is passionate about the health and wellbeing of others and helps facilitate this through her everyday work and personal life.Why is this event called NetZero Networking? Rachael's company, Carley Coaching Ltd, is a B-Corp pending company that is working towards being carbon positive. The carbon footprint of this event will be calculated and offset to ensure that its impact is carbon neutral or better. This will be achieved through schemes provided by Ecologi.
