Micro Garden's Summer Programme: Growing Wild Fun Day 1.

The Good Things Collective is a community driven creative hub that uses arts and creativity to promote wellbeing, learning and enterprise.  We are proud to showcase and shout about the wealth of creative talent locally and find way embed this into community life.  We believe that being creative is good for us and that by working together we can achieve far more than we can without.

An afternoon of activity in our lovely community garden, with good people, good vibes and good food (we hope).

Cavendish Road

You're very welcome to join us for the first of 3 activities funded by Kew Gardens (Grow Wild). The project is looking to increase the amount of native plants and appeal to pollinators whilst giving us all a great chance to get together and be part of helping nurture our local environment. There will be a range of activities to get involved in over the afternoon;2pm, welcome &amp; intro's on site. Including supporting the Kew Gardens pollinator count.2:30pm, foraging walk around the West End with Jessie (Aprox 1 / 1.5 hours).Or - Building a bench, helping with site improvements. 4pm, Work with Glen on a community cook up.Or - Decorating the planters / planting plants. 5pm (ish) Sharing food on site and reflecting on our learning, and plants we want to see more of on site. 6pm. Stay and chill, or head home if you're done!Notes:Local artist Molly Bland will be on site working with us to create designs based on our activities and work on the site &amp; in the area to help educate people about plants and pollinators. Please not that we will bring benches and a gazebo incase of rain, but as it's outside - it's worth bringing a water proof with you. If you have a camping chair you like - that's not a bad call either. We'll try to be mindful of allergies and intolerances with the food we make but if you do have one or two - please contact jo@goodthingscollective.co.uk to let us know so we can accommodate.
