How WFH is changing London (livestream)

The Policy Institute at King's College London works to solve society’s challenges with evidence and expertise.

The Policy Institute

How do London workers really feel about WFH, and will things ever go back to the way they were? Tune in to the live stream here.

The working-from-home revolution kickstarted by Covid-19 has sparked fierce debate. On one side are those who fear WFH is bad for productivity, or risks damaging quality of life in the city. On the other are those who see the promise of a bright and flexible future of work, one which might even help “level up” the nation. To explore these issues, the Policy Institute and King's Business School are bringing together policymakers, researchers and London-based employers as part of a joint programme of activities and research called Work/Place: London returning. Join our panel to discuss our first findings, from a major survey of London workers that reveals how they really feel about WFH, how their lives and their views of the capital have been impacted by it, and whether they’ll ever go back to the way things were.
Panel
The King's team will outline the latest research, with responses from our panel, including:

Julia Hobsbawm, author of The Nowhere Office: Reinventing Work and the Workplace of the Future

Nabeel Khan, Director of Economy, Culture and Skills, London Borough of Lambeth

Allen Simpson, Managing Director, Strategy and Operations, London & Partners

Other panellists TBC.
