True Story DRAFT - Storytelling Workshops
Overview
True Story DRAFT is a monthly workshop for anyone interested in sharing or listening to early drafts of true, personal stories in a relaxed, friendly setting above a pub near London Bridge.
Our focus is on shaping personal stories into short, well-crafted pieces suitable for a True Story LIVE show, or just for learning and fun. This workshop emphasizes the craft of storytelling using a best-practices listening guide and up to six live examples over 90 minutes. Facilitators and story coaches provide tips and insights into story craft during discussions.
How It Works:
- Storytellers: Sign up and bring a draft (written or unwritten) of a true story no longer than five minutes to share aloud. Receive constructive feedback from listeners, fellow storytellers, and coaches.
- Listeners: Come to hear stories with the option to provide feedback.
The format is casual and conversational, with a focus on building community through stories. If this sounds like a vibe you'd like, we’d love to have you join us!
Prior signup is required. Select a 'Storyteller' ticket if you want to share a story, as storyteller slots are limited to six per session. The £2 or £5 ticket fees (minus Eventbrite's cut) go toward the cost of room rental.
If you're unable to pay for a ticket for any reason but want to attend, please get in touch and we'll give you a free ticket - no questions asked.
Signed up but can no longer attend? Please update your status to allow space for others, especially if you’ve signed up as a storyteller, since those slots are limited.
