Northwood Senior/LPS Clapham Open Morning: Friday 7 October
The perfect opportunity to find out more about London's new secondary school

Northwood Senior

Come and find out more about London's exciting new secondary school

Parents who may be interested in a transformative secondary school education that's both academically stretching and pastorally kind, in a smaller, more personal setting, are warmly invited to find out more about what we have to offer at Northwood Senior - soon to be London Park School, Clapham - catering for girls and boys aged 11-16.

London Park School, Clapham

London Park School (LPS) Clapham, will form part of a group of senior schools, which will also include sites north of the river, and a stand-alone sixth form centre. All the LPS campuses will combine the scale and opportunities of a bigger school with the community and individual attention of a smaller setting before progressing on to the specialised sixth form centre in Belgravia, thereby offering all pupils a complete senior school experience from Year 7 to A Levels. Herein lies one benefit of an umbrella London Park School for its separate individual sites; the others are additional resources, expertise and co-curricular opportunities that are simply not achievable in any small, standalone school.

Entry

From September 2023 we expect LPS Clapham to be two-form entry at Year 7, with another form entry at Year 9: we will also have a handful of places at Years 8 and 10. In this way, it can combine the scale and opportunities of a bigger school with the warmth and attentiveness of a smaller school. In other words, building on the best of Northwood Senior, yet significantly increasing the opportunities and choices available to pupils.

Leadership

The Principal of London Park School (LPS) will be Suzie Longstaff, who will be joining from her current role as Head of Putney High School. Suzie is a major figure within the independent schools’ sector, with significant experience in girls’ and co-education, a strong academic pedigree, and a track record in promoting entrepreneurship in the curriculum. The Head of LPS Clapham will be Paul Vanni, who was Head of Kensington Park School and previously Deputy Head at St Paul’s Girls’ School. Susan Brooks, the current Head of Northwood Senior, will join him as the Senior Deputy.

Curriculum

LPS will provide an outstanding, innovative, forward-thinking education for 21st century pupils. Pupil wellbeing, character education, financial literacy, sustainability, and SEND provision will be central to the LPS ethos, plus extraordinary experiences will be on offer to pupils, aimed at bringing learning alive, such as immersive programmes in marine conservation at sea and global climate science in the Alps. The Dukes Young Leadership Programme will be an integral part of the curriculum, developing confidence and transferable skills for the future.

Come and Meet Us

Please register for one of our two Open Morning sessions

Session 1:

9.00: Registration and refreshments

9.15: Hear from the Head and Senior Leadership, learn about Admissions and talk to pupils and staff

9.30: Tours with current Northwood Senior pupils

Session 2:

10.15: Registration and refreshments

10.30: Hear from the Head, learn about Admissions and talk to pupils and staff

10.45: Tours with current Northwood Senior pupils

Parking Restrictions

Please note that there are some parking restrictions in the roads around Northwood Senior AFTER 12pm.

Questions?

If you have any questions or need help, please contact us:

NWSsenior@northwoodschools.com; Tel: 020 8161 0301

admissions@londonparkschool.com

We look forward to meeting you
