Age UK Plymouth exists to care for and work with older people and their carers in and around the City of Plymouth to improve their quality of life through the promotion of choice, opportunity and independence.We offer a range of services to help older people feel more included in the community. Our current aim is to try and tackle loneliness in the Plymouth area through numerous activities and one off events.

Training

At Age UK Plymouth we're committed to creating an inclusive community through the promotion of education and evolution.

Age UK Plymouth are offering free training and information. Tammy Walker our Training and Wellbeing Dementia Lead, has a vast experience of supporting people living with dementia and will support your commitment to awareness.
DEMENTIA FRIENDS INFORMATION SESSION
This information session cannot be used as a replacement for training but is a brilliant insight into what dementia is and why people present with certain behaviors. The training describes the experience of living with dementia in a way that will help attendees visualise it and increase their understanding. All participants will receive a badge and information card.
