Community Land Scotland is the representative body for Scotland's community landowners, which collectively own more than half a million acres of land. This event is supported by the Scottish Government.

A two-part online workshop on strategic planning, aimed at helping communities plan for their community’s needs over the next 10+ years.

Community Landowner Training Series

Community Land Scotland's on-going series of training sessions for community owners, open to communities who either own or are about to acquire land and/or assets.

Community landowners need to run profitable businesses while also tapping into the needs, aspirations, and energy of their community. This community-led approach is one of the main strengths of the community land model but it can also create challenges.In this two-part workshop, Director of Sunart Community Company and former CEO of Mull and Iona Community Trust, James Hilder, will look at how to approach long-term strategic planning from a community-led perspective<ul><li>Session 1: Thurs 1 September * 13:30 – 15:30</li><li>Session 2: Thurs 8 September * 13:30 – 15:30</li></ul>Only 1 ticket available per organisation, unless spaces become available. If you would like to book more than one place please contact us separately. Please note: Registration is required for the first date but please do make sure to attend both sessions. Once we have received your registration we will check that your organisation meets the criteria for this session and will be in touch with you to confirm your place and how to join the session. Individual topics covered in the series will include Strategic Planning, Recruiting and Managing Staff, Finance, Handling Conflict Constructively, and more to be announced.Training sessions are open to communities who either own or are about to acquire land and/or assets.
