SGTO Tenants Conference 2022: join us to have your say on social housing in Southwark.

The City of London Academy (Southwark)

Join us for our Tenants Conference for 2022 - our first in three years!This will be your chance to meet other residents and activists from across Southwark, and plan the SGTO's priorities and actions for the year ahead. It is time for us to come together again and work for a better future for tenants and residents. Confirmed speakers include:<ul><li>Kwajo Tweneboa - Social Housing Activist</li><li>Kate Dodsworth - Director of Consumer Regulation, Regulator for Social Housing</li></ul>This event is open to all council housing tenants and residents in the borough of Southwark. The two main themes of the conference are:<ul><li>Resident Involvement</li><li>Repairs</li></ul>We will also be conducting smaller workshops based around the following:<ul><li>Supporting your TRA and your community - speaker: Dario Blake, Pelican Plus TRA.</li><li>Health and Wellbeing - speaker: Jackie Power - Wellness Advisor to the UK Parliament</li><li>Energy Support - speaker: Eugene Nixon, Head of Strategy &amp; Compliance, Exchequer Services, Southwark Council</li></ul>You will also have the chance to meet local organisations at our market place, including Southwark Pensioners Centre, Healthwatch Southwark, Southwark Council, Citizens Advice Bureau, Tower Blocks UK, Pecan, the London Fire Brigade and others. Free refreshments and lunch will be provided.
