The Blackden Trust exists to preserve a remarkable site that has evidence of human activity dating back 10,000 years. Home to the author Alan Garner, it inspires creativity and stimulates an extensive programme of archaeological and historical research.

At the Old Medicine House, The Blackden Trust, Off Bridge Lane, Blackden, Cheshire CW4 8BYAccess from the road is from Blackden Firs by a rough farm track. Depending on the weather parking may involve a short walk. There is limited parking in the garden for people with mobility problems. The route will be signposted. Please contact us by e-mail if you have any concerns over directions or parking/drop-off arrangements.Please arrive within ten minutes of your booking time to maintain safe distancing inside the house where the exhibition of sculptures, the film, displays and the shop will be open. All the books featured will be available to purchase. Some of the sculptures by Liz Ellis are on sale.
