Join us to celebrate the career of Liz Upton & Eben Upton, Awarded an Honorary Fellowship by The National Museum of Computing (TNMOC).

The National Museum of Computing&#x27;s Honorary Fellowship Programme acknowledges outstanding individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the fields of computing and technology. During this ceremony, Liz Upton &amp; Eben Upton will be presented with their Honorary Fellowship by Andrew Herbert, Chair of Trustees at The National Museum of Computing. The presentation will take place in the First Generation Gallery, in front of the WITCH, the oldest working First Generation computer on the planet. On accepting their Honorary Fellowship, Liz Upton &amp; Eben Upton will respond, taking questions from the audience. This is an onsite event which will also be live streamed for those who would prefer to attend virtually. Please see below for further information. Online Attendance Includes: <ul><li>Access to the livestream of the Awards Ceremony to witness Liz Upton &amp; Eben Upton being presented with their Honorary Fellowship and their subsequent response, including a short question and answer session. </li></ul>Onsite Attendance Includes: <ul><li>Arrival at the Museum from 13:00 to enjoy refreshments/nibbles and networking. </li><li>Physical attendance to the Awards Ceremony where Liz Upton &amp; Eben Upton will be presented with their Honorary Fellowship and give a response, including a short question and answer session. </li><li>The opportunity to meet Liz Upton &amp; Eben Upton in person </li><li>Educational STEM activities hosted by the Raspberry Pi Foundation.</li></ul>13:00 - 13:50: Attendees to arrive at the Museum and enjoy refreshments and networking in the first gen gallery. Refreshments 13:50 - 14:00: TNMOC Staff to escort attendees to the Meeting room for the Award Ceremony. 14:00 - 14:20: Award Ceremony. Liz Upton /Eben Upton will be presented with their Honorary Fellowship by Chair of Trustees, Andrew Herbert. The presentation and the talks will be live streamed to the online audience14:20 - 15:45: Liz &amp; Eben to give individual talks 30 minutes on their career and exceptional inspiration journey - live streamed to both our virtual audience. Q&amp;A15:45 - 16:15: Networking &amp; Photos 15:40 ‘Official’ event end. Attendees may like to stay to explore the Museum. Please note, there is a limited capacity for onsite attendance.The STEM Activity for the day Access AIWith the rapid advances in Artificial Intelligence — from machine learning and robotics, to computer vision, to natural language processing — it’s increasingly important that young people understand how AI is affecting their lives now, and the role that it can play in their future. Come along to this fun and informative session to be part of a new collaboration between the Raspberry Pi Foundation and DeepMind that aims to help young people understand how machine learning works and how AI is already changing the world. This is a no code session - you’ll get to play with some cool new AI applications, learn about how people around the globe are changing the world using these incredible and powerful technologies, and help shape the direction we take in developing our upcoming Machine Learning projects with a short survey.
