The TIO Google Educator (Level 1) will commence in autumn 2022 of the new 2022-2023 academic year. It follows a successful year during 2021-2022 where we have worked with staff who attended previous Google events or webinars to support their professional development. Find all sessions and dates here and use this page to register. We recommend attending all sessions.

1. Developing a 21st Century Learning EnvironmentMonday 03 October 3:30 pm - 5:00 pmAdopt the use of technology in the classroom to develop 21st-century learning skills and connect with others in the Google Educator Community (Google Workspace tools, Google Education). This session focuses on getting prepared for integrating technology into teaching and learning using a range of Google Workspace apps.

2. Creating a Digital Learning EnvironmentTuesday 11 October 3:30 pm - 5:00 pmDeveloping a learning environment to support storage of resources, collaboration and communication (Google Drive, Classroom, Meet, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites and Drawings). This session focuses on getting prepared for integrating technology into an online classroom using a range of Google Workspace apps.

3. Digital Tools For Personal OrganisationThursday 03 November 3:30 pm - 5:00 pmHow to make the most of digital tools to efficiently manage personal appointments and meetings (Google Calendar, Keep, Meet and Drive). This session focuses on adopting an online calendar for personal organisation and efficiency for online meetings.

4. Developing an Engaging Digital ClassroomWednesday 16 November 3:30 pm - 5:00 pmHow to create an engaging online classroom for students and measure their progress (Google Classroom). This session focuses on adopting a virtual classroom and using a range of Google Workspace apps.

5. Building Interactive Online LessonsThursday 24 November 3:30 pm - 5:00 pmCreate engaging learning resources to share with students in Google Classroom (Google Slides, Earth and Chrome). This session focuses on getting prepared for integrating technology into creating engaging online lessons using a range of Google Workspace apps.

6. Leading Online LearningTuesday 29 November 3:30 pm - 5:00 pmDevelop the use of online tools and media to support learning inside and outside the classroom (Google Classroom, YouTube) This session focuses on getting prepared for integrating technology into teaching and learning using a range of Google Workspace apps.

7. Developing Digital LeadershipWednesday 07 December 3:30 pm - 5:00 pmDeveloping student online skills to become a responsible digital citizen (Google Chrome). This session focuses on getting prepared for students being prepared for the wider digital world.
