Explore 3D design and 3D digital  fabrication possibilities, discover the additive manufacturing processes of our 3D printers and get to 3D print a customised object in the Fab Lab during this 2h30 workshop.Workshop programme:1. Smart Citizens intro, Fab Lab tour and introduction of the additive manufacturing processes on the FDM, SLA and SLS printers.2. Draw a simple small object on Autodesk Fusion 360 (cup, coaster, etc.)2. Look for open source objects online (key ring, small box, etc.)2. Pick the object you want to 3D print and upload your design as STL on 3D printer Cura software and set up the printing (slice) with the support of the Smart Citizens team.3. Upload the Gcode on the 3D printer and watch the magic happen!4. Bring your object back home or come back the next day to pick it upThis workshop will take place physically in Fab Lab Plymouth, in compliance with the social distancing rules with a small group of 6 participants. Material will be provided by Fab Lab Plymouth and Plymouth College of Art.At the end of the training, participants will be accredited with a Smart Citizen digital badge that can be added to your CV, email signature or LinkedIn profile to highlight your new skills in digital design and fabrication.Registration alternativeIf you prefer to register for this event via video call or would like to request an alternative registration format or require any assistance with your application, please contact Eli Zahoui by email ezahoui@pca.ac.ukEveryone welcomeWe are committed to making our events and opportunities accessible to everyone.
