The Raspberry Pi isn't just about a piece of hardware. It's enabling people to develop a career in computing, gain confidence in their skills and showcase talent. So if you are new to the Raspberry Pi or want to see how it can be used to automate your home, drive a robot - or even make your job as a truck driver easier, then please do come along.
This is the third Raspberry Jam for Ipswich and we are opening up the event as a single all day session and your ticket gives you access to the whole event. The venue is The Waterfront Building at the University of Suffolk and free parking is on-site in the Long St Car Park. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. While the actual running order for workshops and presentations has not been finalised yet, we wanted to give you access to tickets before they sell out.
This event is not just for young people, if you are an adult looking for a change of career or a student of the University of Suffolk, you are going to find lot's of information and inspiration at this event. There will be a market place for sellers as well as some projects by local students, Makerspace members and young people that have made some cool stuff!
The session will run from 10am until 4pm on the 8th October and will feature several talks and lots of show and tell stands and for the first time two Workshops. All this and a marketplace with lots of Raspberry Pi related components, so you can go home and get started straight away.
You will have the opportunity to ask lots of questions from Raspberry Pi experts and even purchase Raspberry Pi's and components whilst you are there.
